A professional network built on a searchable member record
Problem
A professional network only works when profiles are structured enough to search and rich enough to trust. Too little structure and the directory is noise; too much and members stop filling it in. We modelled the member record first and built the feed, directory and moderation on top of it.

Outcome
Members maintain one profile that feeds the directory, the feed and search, so a single record answers both a people search and a profile visit. The directory filters on the fields the profile actually collects.
